In quadro che ti allego è stato ritrovato solo ieri, martedì 4 febbraio 2008, nei sotterranei dell'Ospedale Luigi Baccino su mia ricerca.E' un'opera pregevole dipinta da Felice Serono, pittore di Cairo di fine '800, rappresenta il benefattore ed eroe LUIGI BACCINO, scomparso nel 1895. Il suo corpo non è mai stato ritrovato e si pensa che sia stato ucciso una sera di gennaio, al rientro da una festa.Rimangono oggi la villa Baccino sede dell'omonimo Ospedale dei vecchi e la costruzione che ospitò le scuole ed ora verrà adibita, dopo i restauri ultimati, a sede di teatro, biblioteca e pinacoteca. Oltre a sala per le riunioni del Consiglio Comunale.Un grande grazie a Luigi Baccino, filantropo e benefattore che ricorderemo come un eroe scomparso per la sua generosità e le sue idee liberali e sociali.
