Rafique Sulayman, BANGLADESH


"DHAKA 400, day-long workshop of paintings held at the coffee house of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on 9th May 2008. Professor Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Dean of the Shanto-Mariam University of Design & Technology inauguarated the workshop, while Sculptor Rasha and Sculptor Habiba

Akther Papia were present as special guests.

Renowned Bangladeshi artist Professor Jamal Ahmed conducted the workshop. 18 artists participated at the workshop to paint their feelings on 400-year old capital of Bangladesh. The participating artists are : Abdus Sattar Toufiq, Farzana Ahmed Urmi, Shantana Mannan, Zubaida Nazneen Ela, Mukaddesur Tushil, Shaniul Haque Neon, Nahid Rokhsana Ananya, Zakir-us-Salam Russell, Shazzad Hoshen Khan, Raqibul Islam Bulbul, Sinthia Arefin, Habiba Akther Papia, Ashraful Alam Poplu & others.

The workshop was organized by BUriganga Arts & Crafts."
