Vittore Baroni (Viareggio, I) and Günther Ruch (Geneve-Peney, CH) invite you on Saturday May 24th at the festival Creativa 2008 – The place of crossing destinies in Rignano sull’Arno (Florence), at the school plexus in via della Pieve, to draw the unconscious joining them in the obscure action
BLINDRAWING
Günther and Vittore met in the second half of the Seventies inside the international Mail Art circuit, collaborating in various reciprocal and joint projects. The two networkers first met in person in August 1987 at Vittore’s home in Forte dei Marmi. In that occasion they created together a drawing, executed in a few minutes while blindfolded (blindrawing).
Twenty years later, to celebrate their second meeting, Günther and Vittore will again perform together a “blindrawing”, inviting then also the other artists and the audience of Creativa to create a large collective work blindfolded.
The two brief “obscure actions” will have the same lenght of the song Let’s Network Together, composed in 1992 by Le Forbici di Manitù as the hymn of the Decentralized World-Wide Networker Congress, reproposed in the versions of Emma Peel Sons and Teho Teardo (from the double cd Tagliare, 2004).
