Nixe-Polena dell’Adriatico” PreludeOn Sunday, March 15th, 2009, at 5 p. m. on the occasion of the closing of the happening d’arte “rosa!”, at the Gallery of the Associazione culturale Anfora, in Terzo di Aquileia, Laura Cristin, performer and painter of Bagnaria Arsa (Udine), in collaboration with Ruediger Abshalom D. Westphal, artist from Euskirchen (Germany), will make the performance “Nixe-Polena dell’Adriatico” as a Prelude of a first experimental and ‘ephemeral’ creation of a figurehead of the Adria, that is one of the main themes of interest of Carmelo Contin, director of Anfora Association. Cristin, just back from Germany, where as guest of the FzkkE association of Ruediger Westphal, from February 14th to March 6th, had the opportunity to develop her artidentity of Sheren (a more human siren, as one can guess from the she) into the shades of Nixe (most common term for Siren in German). Remembering all that per-forming in the HeART of Europe, where Westphal guided her in the places of her Roman ancestors, Beethoven was born and the mermaid Lorelai still enchants sailors on the river Rhine, Laura Cristin fully immersed in Beethoven’s second movement of “the Emperor” and Ruediger Westphal, with his ‘active’ presence, will act so as to interact with the Time, in a whirl of aquatic and aerial veils, in the common Earth of Nature where one can find his/her most intimate part as human being.INFO: associazione culturale Anfora, piazza Europa 3, Terzo di Aquileia (Udine)Tel 0431 30062Laura Cristin in www.lauracristin. itRuediger Abshalom D.
