The Mail Art Network is an informal global network of artists to whom collaboration, cooperation, and correspondence
without money are far more important than art for arts sake. Participants organize projects among themselves, outside the establishment-filtered art industry. The masterpiece is not a single artwork, but the infinite daily exchange of ideas. Mail Art changes the world, one 'peace' at a time. With great pleasure I announce the reactivation of this blog on March 21, 2011.
Christine- Thanks for posting... did it work on the cast??? That old, cobbled together stamp looks pretty rough. I've been using it for 20+ years... funny that I've never ordered a proper one.
oh, the stamp was really special. it felt great to hold, like your vibrations are all over it. unfortunately because the cast is fiberglass and really bumpy it didn't come out all that great when i used it. so i stamped a piece of paper then glued that on. it looks very cool. do you know ben banville? i'm going to his reception tomorrow at Taber Gallery in Holyoke.
